Cordoba
Room
Members of group D Howley,
A Morgan, M Roberts, M Harding and S Pippen.
Initial
readings:-
Temperature 24.9 ?c
EMF – normal
After spending around 15
minutes in this location M R reported hearing a noise
in the room which sounded like a purring cat – other
members of the group could hear something, however nothing
could be found in the room to be making such a noise.
A
séance was conducted at approx. 11.30. All members
of the group felt a distinct drop in temperature, however
on checking the thermometer the actual temperature remained
constant at 24 degrees.
A loud bang was heard by all members of the group,
however this could have been caused by someone upstairs
and has been discounted as paranormal activity.
Drawing Room
Following a break and debrief
the second vigil began in the Drawing Room.
Initial Readings:-
Temperature 21 ?c
EMF – Normal
During this vigil the group
decided to try table tipping.
All members of the group sat around a small table
and placed the tips of their fingers around the edge. A number of
questions were asked by both myself and M Roberts and
the table appeared to move in response.
The responses we appeared to receive were from
a female who was murdered.
She was not from the village, did not have any
family in the Much Marcle area and died more recently
than the war.
Some members of the group
were become agitated by this experiment and it was decided
to stop and come back later with those who wanted to
continue.
The group thanked the spirit for communicating
before closing the circle.
Members
of the group had mixed feeling about this experiment,
all I can say for certain is that I was not moving the
table myself and can vouch for at least two other members
of the group.
Bedroom One
The
group settled themselves down for the investigation
of the bedroom where an occupant was said to have been
locked for most of her life after marrying someone not
worthy of her class.
In this room was a rope going up through the
ceiling to a small bell tower which has reportedly rang
of its own accord.
To encourage some paranormal activity the group
joined hands around the bell and conducted a séance. No paranormal
activity occurred other than members of the group feeling
colder.
Bloody Marys Room
An
earlier group had obtained some very good poltergeist
activity in this room earlier in the evening and the
group were optimistic about this investigation.
Previous activity had centred
around the bed and this is were we began.
At this part of the investigation
many of the group were feeling extremely tired. Movement was
noted on some of the hangings around the four poster
bed, however movement caused by other people walking
around on floorboards could not be ruled out as the
cause.
As
dawn began to break, this part of the investigation
was concluded.
Drawing Room
The final part of our investigation
of Hellens led us back to the Drawing.
This is the area were we had received some interesting
results with table tipping.
This time the four of us (myself, M Roberts,
M Harding and S Pippen), used an upturned glass on the
same table and seemed to get in touch with the spirit
of a young girl.
The answers we obtained this time round are as
follows:
·
Girl aged 13
·
Born 1950, died
1963
·
Visiting relatives
with her brother.
·
Both from Glasgow.
·
Two people were
involved with her murder.
·
On of the murderers
took his own life in 1996.
·
Her body has
never been found but is in the Much Marcle area.
·
Her and her brother
were on their way back to Glasgow.
·
Her brother was
not killed.
Again
some of the group began to get agitated so we thanked
the spirit and closed the circle.
Conclusion
For GPRG’s first investigation
of Hellens Manor activity seemed to be recorded by the
majority of the groups.
There certainly seems to be something at Hellens
and GPRG will be returning to further this investigation
at a later date.
